I hope you aren’t serious. If anything, people will share links to group chats, have laughs and amusement while doing the swipe game on behalf of someone, and be done with it.

Tinder has a long way to go to shake off the “hookup” platform vibe before they’re anywhere at risk of going into “ultra-conservative marriage arrangements” platform.

Yeah, guess you’re right. And the overlap between “we need to find you a righteous man / timid girl from our own religuous community” and “my son/daughter uses tinder” is small enough so it’s not of any concern.

I wouldn’t like somebody else pick my dates. But I guess I’m going to read another article at some point, outlining some use-case for this.

But this feature doesn’t make others pick your dates. It sounds like it adds a badge to people in your swipe queue saying your friends recommend the person.

It just sounds like a fun way to pre-right-swipe a bunch of people for your buddies.

So this morning I got a pop up in Tinder saying I can try it. Threw it in an incognito tab and it’s a marketing ploy for tinder to get your friends on their app lol

You click the link, it asks you to login, make a tinder account, or skip. Then asks for your birthdate and name, then you get 20 or so people to swipe on left or right.

This thing is definitely a novelty for silliness.
