XBOX has been going in the unfortunate direction of not being offline friendly. Smart delivery games don’t have Series X version on disk, and a handful of AAA titles, like the newest Star Wars and Hogwarts Legacy are not playable without the game downloaded as a patch.

PS5 is a little better, and almost all Switch games are playable offline. No online is needed to set up Switch.

I’m not 100% certain, but I believe you’ll need to log in with an MS account to be able to get to the main menu. Once you do that, it’ll prompt you for system updates and stuff that may take a while.

Other than that, offline support has gotten a bit better. You’ll need to configure a few settings, but once you do that you should be able to play most games without internet. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/connect-network/using-xbox-one-offline

Some games might require an immediate download, some may not. I don’t have a list unfortunately.

I tried to price match this at target but they wouldn’t honor the price because it wasn’t in some system they use to price check other stores

Bruhhhh that’s some BS by them.

Looks like the Diablo IV bundle is out of stock. How about the second link? Are they able to price match that? Maybe Best Buy if you got one close to you?

Most price matching deals I know of do not respect an offer that’s out of stock. If a door buster $5 TV only had 3 in stock to get people in the door, other retailers know it wasn’t a genuine sale.

Oh yeah I’m aware of that. I’m just not sure of the time frame between @Whiskey_iicarus@lemmy.dbzer0.com reaching out to Target support and the bundle going out of stock.

My assumption was that the bundle was still in stock when they reached out to Target.

I only wanted the Xbox, not the bundle, but you are correct it was in stock at both Walmart and at Target when I inquired about it at Target.
