Right now, I’m playing the early access version of Baldurs Gate 3. I’m getting ready to put it down (frustrated: BG3 has the potential to be good, but without controller support, I’m getting really frustrated with the UI. ) and switch to Yakuza Like a Dragon.

What are you playing now and what are you looking forward to playing next?

Last game I played on it, yesterday, was Just Cause 3. It’s… not great. The game just doesn’t run consistently enough and is too CPU heavy.

I recently played Red Dead Redemption 2 on it, that was great. Surprisingly so. I’m playing Skyrim now. I’ve had the game for years but never took the time to properly get into it. I beat the main quest and messed with mods back in the day but that’s it.

Now, I’m playing it vanilla and I want to just go deep into the game, completely ignoring the main quest, I don’t want to be the hero, if the universe needs saving, it can find someone else. Khajiit have caves to explore and stuff. Oh and the new Survival Mode is neat!

Disco Elysium. Fantastic writing and pretty hilarious at times.

It’s also pretty good as a portable PC when traveling too, so that’s nice.

Horizon Zero Dawn. Had it on PS4 and didn’t get far. Having a Deck changes everything.

Is gyro aiming feasible on deck? I wanted to try out horizon but it’s clunky on a k+m and aiming on a controller is hard for me.

HZD is the only game I’ve played on deck so far where the gyro aiming works as joystick. I was completely blown away, I’ve never been able to use gyro as anything but as mouse before, and I’ve been doing gyro aiming on steam controller for years.

Steam Deck best tech purchase for me in a long time. Don’t judge me too much but I’ve been playing Disney Speedstorm between TotK sessions.

Yeah, baby! Somebody point me in the direction of another Steam Deck subre-… Channel?

I’ve been playing lots of Street Fighter 6, but also Metroidvania indies. Currently playing through They Always Run and it’s pretty much pixel 2d Mandalorian and it’s pretty damn cool!

I’m playing Doki Doki Literature Club mainly to see why there are all the disclaimers about disturbing content.

Over the year I’ve finished Outer Wilds, Hades, PikuNiku, the second Ori game, and have been slowly getting through Elden Ring. Next is probably Tunic, but idk if it’s worth my time after playing through the first 2 hours.

Nowadays I can’t use any other controller than the deck, so I sometimes link it with the pc just for that - I just can’t live without the gyro and the back buttons

I’m playing through Far Cry 6, and it’s running perfectly (Proton GE). I’m genuinely surprised by how good it works, even if that game chews my battery.
