Maaan, you turned off secureboot and tpm though. Does EndeavorOS not support that?

The audio will not be horrible. Those mics are designed to be mounted into tables with a particular mount. They are padded underneath to eliminate that vibration. Also, the Rally Plus system is only looking for voice signatures and has some very good AEC built into it.
Oh, and the microphones aren’t even drilled into the table. Just wires all over the table and the microphone loose af lol
Im absolutely upset with whoever installed that rally camera ABOVE the TV.
Also, that cabling is awful…
You can get an Apple TV, which is an external device you connect to your TV if you’re already in the apple ecosystem. You can use your iPhone as a remote for it.
There is also the Nvidia Shield option, which is a solid Android TV option.
And of course, you can just use any pc as an input device and use that.
The firmware thats actually on the “smart tv” might be tough to replace with an open source solution. Im sure there are some TV modders out there, but its probably very niche. Best to get an external device of your choice imo.
I cant seem to find the code for chrome that allows this. Can someone link it?

You must be one of those self-driven, motivated, and energetic developers
I appreciate the enthusiasm for another arch fork. I hope it works out for them and its users.
Regarding desktop antivirus, it’s often the case where it is not necessary to have. Windows has Windows Defender built-in, and other operating systems have other means to mitigate any type of viruses. There are actually reports of antivirus causing attacks because their hooks are so deep in the operating system.
Even trusted apps and app stores are prone to being malicious. The upstream packages that they use can have a malicious developer or insecure package, and it gets incorporated in the app, then distributed. Thats why it’s important to use devices that get hardware/firmware updates to help protect against this. If a rootkit is installed, there is no way to ever get rid of it on your system.
No amount of antivirus or alternative OSs will save you from unpatched hardware vulnerabilities though. Visiting a malicious web page or downloading a temporarily hostage app from your favorite app store can be enough to allow the bad guys into your device.
As long as you have a currently supported device and keep it up to date, you shouldn’t ever need antivirus.
There was a lawsuit to remove Windows Explorer? Did you mean to say Internet Explorer?
Each developer will have to be authorized by Apple to switch engines “after meeting specific criteria and committing to a number of ongoing privacy and security mitigations,”
Now they can babysit other browsers and make sure they’re secure too, ig. Might as well throw that responsibility on the trillion dollar company. At least the browsers will end up more secure once the apple security team audits them.
The lack of updates to old devices might be exactly why apple doesn’t want to be compatible with them. It’s a HUGE attack surface. They can’t babysit every device’s downfall.
Pick one and post the issue then.
Sure. An ex-boyfriend doesn’t take the breakup from his girlfriend well, and decides to locate her. He remembers his phone used to be paired with hers, and decides to use that to find her.
As much as you want to fight me and make fun of me for this, this is a serious concern.
Tracking purposes, perhaps.
Thats why I’m asking if they know why the feature was removed so I can look up the specifics.
Nah, bots will be bots
