I run jellyfin on bare metal because it makes it easier to debug imo, but I do use docker for caddy and some other little applications (like a tomcat instance for example)
my servers run alpine! it’s incredibly stable even for hobbiest use
why is the password ******* lol
camel for java. flat for c
the ends justify the means but what justifies the ends?
+1 for datawing. you know what it’s time I give that game another playthrough.
biking is the way. never been happier than when I’m commuting by bike. just wear a helmet, you can’t predict drivers and some of them get pretty pissed that you’re able to get places faster than them.
when I worked at a grocery store (massive chain, who were horrible to their workers) I’d steal a lot of the food they would throw out at the end of the night. even if I myself couldn’t use it I always knew someone who could.
username checks out
you can swap ram while a device is on if you do it early enough in the boot process. on some you can do it even while just in bios! probably not worth it to find out if it works on your device though, this was in 2017 or so on like 2013 devices.
I’m in the same boat. I’m a comp sci student but the amount of tech illiterate comp sci students I meet every day is astounding and concerning
first game I played in HDR was mass effect legendary. I don’t care that the game itself is close to 15 years old, the 4k remaster + HDR blew my mind and set a new standard for how good games could look.
real actually. definitely one of the most memorable progress bars. well, that and the bios update progress bar
such a great show. thats one of the few shows set on an alien planet that truly feels unnervingly alien
“fix for real this time”
agreed
I just like filling up hard drives and sitting on top of them like a dragon hoarding ones and zeros
the hero we need
