This also just crossed my mind, after reading this and seeing who is claiming the deed.

I can totally see the Prestige counting for this.
This is one hard to say. Dark is one of my favorite shows, but I do think the journey is better, the journey is kind of the process for the acceptance of the finale, so it does make sense.
There is a mix of both throughout the show, especially in the Irene Adler The Woman episode. You already know she is behind a few criminal things from the start. There is also another case within that same episode where someone died next to a river, and one of the draws of the case is that Sherlock figured it out instantly, but doesn’t want to tell anyone what the answer is. It is slowly revealed in bits over the episode of what he figured out.
I may give Columbo a shot since it’s an older show I have put off trying. And Monk has also been sitting on my list.
All three great answers. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I’ve been trying to get my wife to watch Se7en or Usual Suspects for years.
I definitely think this movie popularized the “but it needs a twist at the end” trend.
Yes! I think this qualifies.
I loved Memento, very good example.
The closest I’ve watched in the last decade to something like this may be BBC’s Sherlock. Does that fall in the same category?
This has always been my experience as well. My first job was “just a job”. But I worked there for 6 yrs and made many friendships during that time. There were many “time to clock out people”, but at least half regularly hung out.
From the comments I gather that this mostly depends on the kind of work. I’d assume anywhere that is a “career” type place vs “just a job” will have different kinds of attitudes. At a “just a job” you want to just gfto when you clock out. I’ve mostly had jobs in relation to education or creative, and most of the people there just want to connect.
I’ve always had friends and good times with coworkers, many of whom I’m still in contact with to this day, hell, I’ve helped some of them move.
Do the same browser plugins work on librewolf?
Did it for almost a decade. Best team I’ve worked with, but eventually enough dominos began to fall, and me staying there only really helped enforce the bad behavior of higher ups. Many followed after me.
Didn’t even think to try scaled. It most definitely is showing more diverse posts. Downside is that it brings back a lot of non english speaking communities. Still a good option for exploring though!
I knew about most of these, but had not stumbled upon casual conversation yet, thank you!
Anyway to make the all page more diverse? I feel like it’s just 10 communities that appear there and it’s basically broken down to tech, memes and politics. I’m on lemmy.world and ysint voyager. Every once in a while I see stuff from sh.itjust.works.
I know when I used to use kbin, you first had to let your device sync with other instances before they started populating onto your feed.
As a non book reader I had a similar take. The first movie felt slower with all the beats, this one felt like it was trying to accomplish a speed run. It felt like characters were just teleporting around with how quickly we were moving between locations. Overall it was visually stunning, but given how much was crammed in here I kind of wish there had been a way to add some of this into the first movie.
As someone in the industry, I have done this as well, even while sometimes working at the very same company who should in theory have easy access to said files.
This is the latest example that sparked it off again, but stuff like this has been going on for a decade. Many animators and vfx artists who work for high profile companies never get the final versions of their work and sometimes work on locked down servers where they can’t easily copy the work for themselves. They are at the whim of the company to provide them the files. Usually they are ignored so the artists resort to pirating the work to then edit it down and showcase on their websites and reels.
I had completely forgotten this was even a thing, and even more bizarre timing of the reveal behind the person.
