    I actually like that implementation, because the obnoxiousness of hexbear users is context dependent. On posts about gardening and nolawns I’ll usually see what they have to say. On political posts, I usually regret reading their comments. So it’s somewhat nice to opt-in to comments on a case by case basis.







  • Yeah, ten years ago any apartment complex near campus that had undergone any renovations within the prior 15 years was being marketed as “luxury.”

    Most of them were still cramped places with terrible materials and paper thin walls. The students living in them were frequently heavily dependent of financial aid or their parents had saved diligently for 20 yrs. There were some “elites,” but most of them were international students.

    Antibiotics wouldn’t protect from any toxic byproducts of bacterial decomposition. For example, recooking imroperly canned goods can kill the botulinum bacteria, but leaves deadly amounts of the botulinum toxin. There’s lots of reasons to not mess around with consuming questionable substances.
