Either way it seems right now you need a hard reset.
Yet, half the country seems to be choosing to go back to Trump. There’s no cure for stupid.

My god, the orange bafoon handled it so much better
Yeah, if you completely ignore anything that came out of his mouth. His sentences very maybe more coherent, but the content was certainly awful.
Living in the US, I see on a daily basis the indifference to climate. It’s been heavily politicized. One side cares a little, the other side does not care one bit. It’s very sad to see.
I also lived in Europe for many years where climate is less politicized and more mainstream. Most people try to do their best to contribute regardless of their political preferences. It’s a big difference to what I see in the US.
Just start doing it now and eventually things will have converted. It may take a while, but it will happen eventually if you do it consistently.
But there are too many contrarian Americans out there who’ll take inconvenience over logic just because it “the American way” or “America is special.” Have several of those people in my extended family.
I’m 7-3. I eat lunch at my desk while I work so I can leave early.
Definitely a thing in the US. People spend lots of money to have chemicals poured onto their lawns every year, summer and winter, to keep the weeds away. All of those chemicals have to go somewhere. Probably the groundwater and streams and other bodies of water. Not good.
But also don’t automatically dismiss until we know more.
That is the unfortunate truth about doing business as a startup in the US, isn’t it?
I wonder now many businesses never get off the ground because people have to make these decisions.
Thanks for the suggestions. We have been thinking about having my partner switch jobs to something that provides better healthcare coverage. But that could take a while and put the business opportunity at risk.
I don’t like that.
I was actually part of a startup in Europe some years ago. Healthcare was not part of the equation.
It would work anywhere, but the opportunity I have is in the US and moving overseas right now is not really an option.
I do feel discouraged that it’s the healthcare system that’s holding back my business opportunity. Shouldn’t be like that.
Yeah, that’s also what I’m thinking. It’s just so sad that the US healthcare system is the thing that’s holding back business. Seems counterintuitive. I was just hoping someone knew of a good workaround.
I guess one option is to save more and risk losing the business opportunity.
I can, but it’s still outrageously expensive compared to my current situation. It would put a lot of financial stress on us in a situation that’s already stressful in every way possible.
We have some issues too.
Very true. But so do Europe and Canada.

Many older reps claim to do it for “generations to come” or “my family.”
I support a mandatory retirement age, but being more than 75 years doesn’t necessarily mean you’re senile.
Sure, there are advantages and disadvantages to both. For me, it’s about flexibility. And I put a crap ton of money into the house that I will never see again. Just regular maintenance, landscaping needs, etc. Thinks you don’t have to think about or pay for when renting.
Not true. It absolutely does matter.
