The point being made is that you won’t solve the issue if you divide society between men and women, instead of normal people and sexist bigots. The point is not to replace existing harmful sexist stereotypes with your own sexist stereotypes, but to come together and listen to each other.
If you at all accept that there are harmful but culturally ingrained gender roles
The problem is that all too often those harmful gender roles are only called out as being harmful to women, not to men, but they are. The solution to the gender roles issue is not digging trenches between genders.
It’s not straight people, it’s not men or women, or minorities or even white people, it’s shitty people being amplified by their favourite billionaire to divide us and have us dig trenches between each other while they rob society blind.
How can this GaaS thing be sooo profitable and also such bad press that even mentioning it results in a “sorry we didn’t mean that” article?
Still better than Borderlands where they would have had to change the entire cast.
Capitalism is not equal to smuggling or free markets. Capitalism means the private ownership of the means of production, and a market economy is possible under other systems.
A lesser standard still applies if it either embeds or redirects to a payment page. Again, shouldn’t mean shit, but still.
Because the alternative seems to be a Russian intelligence asset.
the only thing the app does is start transactions and check with the server if they’re paid
Yeah, but the whole PCI DSS thing means that the app must still be secured. That doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be tied to Google Play, but explain it to them.
IIRC they did coupons exclusively in their app a few years ago where I lived (haven’t checked since), and they hiked the price of everything, so if you don’t install the app, you get a 20% surcharge in effect.
That goes for every single shitty chain store as well.
What would predictably happen is that the health insurance company would still withhold care, and the life insurance company would deny the payout based on the care being withheld. Then they both would be like “sue me”.
And eventually they would merge and be just one company.
I guess the problem is that app developers write the installers, and they suck at following conventions. Obligatory fuck Snap, as it creates a folder in the home dir, and it doesn’t even bother to hide it, and it is not even reconfigurable.
Thanks for spamming this to keep reminding me, I am a total slob, and it took me this long to go find my ID card to sign.
or /opt, or a binary in some hidden folder in /home…
I mean, you could totally make Home Alone II today as long as you set it pre-9/11
Yeah, it’s like saying “you couldn’t make Saving Private Ryan, because Europe is no longer at war”.
We went on holiday in Iceland, the place where we slept one night had the nearest gas station 160 km away, the nearest grocery store at more than 300 km. I loved it for a few weeks, but I would not move there.
Better not forget the eggs.
I guess that’s how they make a lot of money, selling their own Confluence plugin.
Or the administrators’ feefees to be honest. Not like any of them faced anything detrimental due to the protests.
Thank fuck tho, it will keep electric waste down, and I feel we are starting to figure out you don’t need to spec your game to the newest graphics card for it to be fun.
