Ehhhh, depends on how your titles work, and I would argue that’s at least a little odd. Most senior engineers I know are ~50/50 code/oversight, at worst. Once you get to Principal or Staff, though, you’re lucky if you write 50 loc/week.

Senior rarely translates to something like architect anymore, it’s at least a level or two up from there.

Lol… he didn’t say he disliked the movie, he said the movie sucked because it was based on Asian culture and because of the female lead. He was pretty explicitly racist and misogynist in his review.

Add onto that… the waters get real muddy when you start defining addiction. Is it still addiction if it’s good for you? Like, if I can’t get through a week without some celery, would people even call me an addict? If I can’t start my day without a run, would anyone ever think to say I have a problem?
