I think no one around here realizes how fucking insane a 5 W laser pointer is, it’s not blinding people level, it’s more like, don’t shine it at anything white or you might blind yourself level.

For reference the highest laser security classification starts at 0.5 W.

Maybe I’m exaggerating here but 5 W is definitely a lot.

I can’t speak for everyone but I used to say “I can’t drop windows because I need XYZ programs all the time”.

Well turns out I don’t, and turns out it’s surprisingly easy to tell my employer (well my professor really, I am a PhD student) “Sorry I can’t run that program, I don’t have windows”. If they don’t accept it, they can supply me with a windows PC.

Maybe you can’t but I definitely can, flawlessly. Only thing is once I close a game I have to restart the scream.

Funny, I would have said the same about voidlinux.

I think a common misconception about voidlinux is that it’s a distro solely used by people who have made it their lifegoal to tell people about how bad systemd is. I use void because it’s fast, and frankly because I like the way void does stuff. I feel like many people in the community are much more indifferent to systemd than people realize.

I assume different people have different needs, but I feel so much more content with life when I get up early and drive my bike to work/Uni. Having some structure forced onto me is just way easier than living from day to day. But I have also struggled with depression in the past, I may require it more than others do.

In my personal experience void linux ran the smoothest on all my old laptops (compared to stuff like arch and antiX, I defo didn’t try everything).
