  • That’s fair, and I’m glad you’re in a part of the world that allows you to express yourself freely.

If being on the stage, dressing different, or playing the drums is something you want to go at, I’d say do it. You won’t know it until you’re in it. There will be some aspects you like, and some you won’t. What you perceive and what actually is, are often different.

I’ve always found that the things I excel at, are the things I’m genuinely interested in. And when I follow those paths for a while, they all have similar lessons. It’s like an all rivers lead to the ocean kinda thing.

Counter intuitively though, I also feel more liberated when I’m disciplined about getting little goals done on those paths. When I follow my exact, in the moment emotions, it usually leads me to addiction and forms of laziness. Just gotta push through the bullshit for a bit lol. “Beauty stems from pain” sort of fits with what I’m saying here. Might not be the same for everyone though, but for the past few years I’ve been excited to get out of bed lol.

Anyways, listen to your heart and you’ll feel full. Good luck!

Id be surprised if all admins of every instance that’s federated with Lemmy are all on the same page, let alone looking for narrative driven bots.

I see “Ukrainian combat footage” with hundreds of upvotes and no comments, there was also an article speaking positively about facebook that had lots of upvotes and no comments (it’s in my history of you look, because I commented lol) - those look like red flags to me

Did you read that link you posted? Lmao

If you get past the first paragraph, suddenly there’s really no praising and they talk about how bad health care is in Cuba and how many try to defect as they are forced into horrible conditions.

    From that article:

“He said, “We were placed in slums with a high level of violence, under constant monitoring by the Bolivarian brigades [political police], who are supposed to offer protection but also report any suspicious activities and assure that we carry out our `revolutionary’ duty, indoctrinating our patients to vote for Chávez. If we refuse to do so we are sent back to Cuba.””

Yeah but I’d rather not have the mods remove anything - it’s the ol’ “how do we fact check the fact checkers” conundrum.

One instance of an object or subject, can be viewed completely differently relative to your position in space and time. The observations of how something is functioning can be completely different from one observer to another, yet they can both be correct at the same time.

So how exactly do you tell the truths from the untruths without proving intentional manipulation in the first place?

  • You asked me what source I need to want full trials for a vaccine. You have the wit of a teenager.

mRNA hasn’t been used in a vaccine like this before.

30 years in the scheme of things is still absolutely nothing. We had lead in our gasoline and our drinking water pipes for decades without anyone actually understanding the issue, and just trusting “it’s all safe!”

Virus comes out and we pump out a fully produced vaccine in MONTHS. Of course it’s safe and tested fully /s

  • Right because injections and washing your hands are comparable.

The “source that told me” was a bit of critical thought and common sense. This was a vaccine with tech we’ve never used on massive populations before, pushed by political leaders, followed by media outlets and gov leaders trying to paint everyone who questions it as if they’re the worst people humanity has to offer. Ofc we need extensive trials for a vaccine like that (or any vaccine), especially when the producers of the vaccine are immune from liability.

Do you remember what informed consent is? If you’re injecting stuff into you, without fully understanding what either the virus itself can do, or what the vaccine can do, you’re just blindly following people.

It’s this same mentality and confusion that lead to our current opioid pandemic. Blind trust in our institutions and leaders
