I think it depends on your relationship. Some women hate the idea of their SO picking out their lingerie since choosing their own gives them a feeling of self determination, autonomy and general power when it comes to sex.
Others like the idea of being pampered and dressed up because they enjoy the feeling of being invested in and cared for in by their SO.
But even then, I’d say you need to keep your SO’s taste in mind. If she’s into eye contact and prolonged missionary where you just spend time taking each other in, don’t get her bondage gear.
I’m on a much smaller scale and only oversee two mailrooms but when my dept head was looking for a place to use as storage and suggested one afternoon to use the “empty space” in the mailroom, I had to gently explain to him that the empty space was where the hundreds of boxes that we get every morning go.
