Yepp, 1 ipv4 is included and domains are optional. Seems like ionos.com offers it for 2$ while .de is at 1€. https://www.ionos.com/servers/vps

Had this topic today with a friend. ionos offers 1 vCore, 1GB Ram and 10GB SSD for 1€ a month.
For friends and family try listen to their problems/annoyances. Usually people tend to complain until they fix it by themselves and if not, it’s your chance to shine.
If you want to contribute something to a hobby, ask first or gift cash. Most of the time the gift will be not needed or already surpassed with better/more expensive gear.
The response: we will repsond in 60 days…
“In its response, Tropic Haze has confirmed it has retained the services of an attorney from Pierce Atwood LLP, and committed to responding to the motion within 60 days of the date the paperwork was filed, which was 27th February, 2024.”
I haven’t read all the prior comments but I would suggest to learn the basic of electricity. Despite the biggest part of electronics is low voltage you may meet some parts with higher voltage. Learn the dangers what to look out for and what to avoid at any cost. Safety at first no matter what!!!
If you can get some technic beginner books or PDFs from middle schools your good to go. After that you can look for broken electronic at your local Craigslist or what ever it’s called in your area/country and start to dismantle them and source for parts.
And trust me about the security and dangers at this one. Working as a certified industrial electronic technician in Germany since 2011…
Yesterday or a few days ago I’ve read that people already jailbreaked the vision. So if you must have one, you will still be able to tinker with it.
Check inside your BIOS if you can add a delay to the startup or disable skips for a faster boot. Sounds like the drive need some time to wake up.
The bearings of the OG case-fans started to fail so I reconfigured them to kick in when the CPU got hot. One after another I ended with only 1 left working all the time…
Had them all replaced last month, 4 fans on max are quieter than the last at 50%…
AFAIK the FritzBox switchs mainly to the faster DNS Server. I tried to use Quad9 with cloudfare as the second DNS server, most of the time cloudfare was the used since it was a bit faster.
Is it custom build NAS or something like Synology?
As already mentioned for proper backups you should locate the NAS somewhere else.
I’m not an expert by any means so don’t take my word for it. I’ve tinkerd with some pies befor but this was my proper first project: a NAS for my family (multiple households).
If it’s for personal use, you can use a VPN to your local network. It’s by far the safest option and easier to setup.
I went with OMV (openmediavault) for local sharing as OS + Docker + portainer. For the backups and access I went with Docker Nextcloud and Docker Swag (letsencrypt) and a reserve proxy with duckdns since I don’t have a fixed IP. Nextcloud setup was the easiest part and not really a hassle. With a VPN you won’t need to tinker with the “access from net” stuff.
For syncing files on Android I would recommend Autosync since it’s the most reliable one IMO. No other OS tested so far.
Nextcloud can handle a lot on its own and for something special you will find a proper plugin. For the download needs you may find some docker containers.
Lego lawsuit incoming…
Imo, nothing and if asked: blame others.
Your CPU should be more than enough: link
I know, but sorry we’re miles apart from each other. I’ve seen “street legal” cars in UK which will get you in jail in Germany xD Tbh I don’t mind those restrictions but some are way over the top here
On the other side, Germany has TÜV with a mandatory vehicle inspection every 2 years with some exceptions for new cars.
They check vital components for road safety and won’t allow the car to be on public roads when it’s not fixed within a month. And it’s not like your tires have no rest profile anymore, it’s like you have to change them when they’re at 1,6mm… recommended is to change at 4mms…
Some “Prüfer” are chill but sometimes you won’t pass because your winter tires you were drivimg for 5 years, are 0,3% bigger than the allowed ones in the registrationpapers… at least I heard.
Huge thank you for all your hard work^^
same, so the only difference is the instance of the account itself then. cheers
are you using the in-app browser? with the extern it just opens firefox for me. I updates the app yesterday maybe i’m a few versions behind again xD
!pixelpassport@lemm.ee does this work? Edit: and this will be external https://lemm.ee/c/pixelpassport Edit2: looks like some apps can’t comprehend the instance URL. I’m on liftoff, @ brings up email and lemm.ee is not a link
AFAIK only credit card, PayPal and sepa/debit card
