An Enermax keyboard has been my daily driver as a programmer for my career that started in 2007. It still works just fine and I still have no reason to change to something else. Lots of reasons not to, since I like the classic keyboard layout and the flat laptop keys.
I’m a software engineer too. I’ll tell you what changed. I have a kid. Daycare was shut down, but since both my wife and I can work from home we were expected to do just that. We got to spend a lot of time with the then two year old, but hardly saw each other except for the back of the head because one of us was always working. What was your corona project? Surviving, that’s what!
Oh, he’ll just change the unit test if it fails.

My only argument I can come up with is that other people have friends, so $25 will be less than going to the cinema because they don’t have to pay that price for each person watching. It’s still ridiculously expensive though.

I’m chewing my way through the stormlight archives by Bryan Sanderson. Just finished book 2.5, on book 3 now.
I mostly listen on headphones during my workday. I very much prefer to listen on speakers though.
Honestly I think one of the bigger hurdles is the confusion about where to sign up. You have to choose an instance, preferably one that is “compatible” with you. But it hardly matters to the user because it’s all federated anyway. Just give me a server that will stay up.
