And before newspaper?
And before newspaper?
I’m already in a number of communities about beige nineties computers, thank you very much.
It feels like everyone has a story like this. I visited Osaka this one time and I was couldn’t open the package that my lunch was in. This very ordinary looking salaryman approached me and without saying a word took, the package from me, ate it whole, then vomited it directly down my throat as an easily-digestible slurry fortified with immunity-boosting enzymes and developmentally-critical animo acids. He literally wouldn’t stop.
Can you get me three cups of coffee? My first fifteen aren’t cutting it.
Dozen’t it, thought?

Ten pictures of Feddit users reacting to clickbait headlines that will make you say “no, these are all trains. No, I’m complaining as such, I like trains, I just… I thought… No, the headline said something about… reactions, yeah, and ins- actually, hang on, how did you get in here?”

And your email, identity document, photo, payment method… lots of fun data points to boil it down to a demographic of one person.
Bought? Never. I have a 2024 Western Europe road atlas in the pocket behind the driver’s seat, but I don’t know who bought it. I like to look at the pretty lines and funny names from time to time, but really OSM and it’s various client apps are what I actually use.
This is also a great money-saving tip if you’re preparing a meal that uses loads of boiled eggs and boiled potatoes and also are in an area where water costs a lot but not so much that you’ll stop boiling eggs and potatoes in it altogether but would see saving a panful of it as a benefit which, personally, I find highly relatable as I am currently trapped in a desert that has eggs and potatoes instead of sand and also please send help.
IPFS was my first thought. I’ve only recently started using it, but it’s pleasantly surprised me so far.
You’re not getting good soup for €20/kilolitre or kilogallon.
I honestly tell people not to buy a RasPi unless they really need the specific hardware form factor (GPIO, etc). For virtually every application, a second-hand USFF PC is cheaper and more powerful, has better I/O and comes with a quality PSU.
Damn!
I’d like to direct you to someone who can help, who can explain what’s funny about it.
But maybe despite their expertise they won’t provide the context you need.
And you’ll still be at a loss.

Yes, when I realised I had a moment of sudden, uncomfortable shock. I had to pause the movie I was watching, which was about shark attacks.
I’m glad your typo was “start trek” and not “start wars” because rambling is a noble hobby and warmongering is… not so much.
