Mirin! And other stuff you’d find at Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc stores. Like the different types of sauces and ingredients you can get from them can often mix very well with traditional American foods.
The golden days of IRC were the best. Every day I use the current internet, I miss the way of the old internet. Back when everything was just run by a bunch of nerds doing whatever they wanted, as opposed to everyone being shut out by the big names now, looking to control everything and maximise profit.
I second this. I thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of Xen in Black Mesa. I really feel like they really did justice to what the original devs could have accomplished if they had more time.
I haven’t been so fully engrossed in a game like that since… Well Half Life Alyx I guess. Truly a great feeling.
I second Rocket League. It’s hard to find other competitive games that scratch the itch now though. I used to be an FPS guy but the challenge they have just makes me wish I was splaying rocket league
Refuse? Why?
I recently bought a metal detector/stud finder for that exact reason. I also am an electrician and have to find studs or rebar often when drilling and it’s been great for that too. In your case it would work by detecting the nails in the studs instead of looking for the studs themselves. I got the Zircon Metalliscanner (I believe)
I used to ride my bike a lot when I was young to the point where it became my automatic thing to do whenever I was feeling stressed/anxious/depressed. The adventures I went on, while also being outside in nature and in the sun (or moonlight) would always pick me right back up.
I only realized this recently as I’ve had a huge urge to buy a bike again but didn’t know exactly why.
I still haven’t played so many games because of opening cinematics and overly long and boring tutorials for this reason. It sucks because I can get super into a game if I just get over that. Like Baldur’s Gate 3 was a chore to get into, but I knew I would absolutely love it and now I think it’s probably the best game ever.
