I would not recommend react-native. I would recommened Tauri instead but Tauri does not compile apps for Android and iOS currently but has this on its roadmap.

Gitea and Forgejo are the way to go. Especially Forgejo which is working on federation just like Lemmy but for Forgejo repos and instances.
Would make typing much harder and longer.
However all PC games will have joystick support.
That is an interesting keyboard. Not something I will use but can help many get surfing the web.

True but I believe SimpleLogin is based in France while Protonmail is based in Switzerland. Two seperate governments.
But its though SimpleLogin, not ProtonMail itself.
Unfortunately there is no way, it requires trust. Just like you need to trust your email provider to not have access to your emails.

For calendar and contacts I use EteSync since it uses E2EE just like Filen. Nextcloud is good but it does not have E2EE as a supported feature. There is a broken E2EE plugin for Nextcloud but only for files.
The Filen client works fine for me on Linux. It runs in the background and does not pop up after boot.
Do you mean weather Filen desktop clients can sync folders between your computer and the cloud? The answer is yes you can. If it detects you edited a file in a watched folder, it will upload the file to the cloud.
