I’ve been meaning to watch OnlyConnect but I focus typically on comedy more than anything else thus why I drifted towards QI instead. However I should give it a fair shake.

Also yep, QI is absolutely amazing. I miss Stephen but Sandi is doing an incredible job. However as someone who watches random episodes of QI for feel goods, it is alarming seeing Alan aging like that. My knees feel bad enough…

Yeah, Stephen left some big shoes to fill, but Sandi has done a fantastic job. She was excellent as a panelist, but I feel like it took her about half of her first series as host to really hit her stride. She’s been phenomenal since.

The episode with Corey Taylor of Slipknot is probably one of my favorites because half of it was just Sandi gushing over him. Probably one of the most adorable things I’ve ever seen.

Agreed on all points. Not surprised it was a bit rocky for her at the start. Some big shoes to fill and not just because Stephen was enormous and Sandi is wee.

The Corey episode is truly wonderful. I never would have pegged Sandi as a fan of him. It was also just super nice to see Corey hanging out for an hour and relaxing.

In the same vein? The episode with Emma Thompson. Because she’s a fucking riot to begin with, and because she’s good friends with Stephen, the whole episode was one of the most bits of fun i’ve ever seen. Made even better by the ‘what’s the first citation of luvvie in the OED’ bit.
